Sirens Signal Mothers March On Polio In Town
Fire station sirens will sound at 7 p.m. signaling the Mothers March on Polio with 140 women participating. A sound truck will guide marchers past homes while headquarters at the Y.M.C.A. serves refreshments. Notable participants include Miss Carmela V. Russo and several others. The Lioness Club fundraiser March of Dimes Ball at Midway raised over $400, with $44.55 reported as net and thanks extended to contributors and sponsors.

Fire Chief Outlines Future Budgets and Equipment Needs
Fire Chief Oscar A Rishe presents a forward looking budget to the budget committee and town council proposing 35 17410 for apparatus and building reserves.
