Grand jury indicts Anthony Warzacki in the October death of Daniel Hugh Quinn in Bristol. Police Chief Ferrara says extradition papers are being sought to return Warzacki from California, where he awaits release after a larceny sentence. Two Fire Companies Seek New Apparatus at Town Meeting
At a Thames Street fire station banquet Bristol officials and the Defiance and Ever Ready Engine and Hose Companies announced plans to seek new fire trucks in March town meeting. Sewer Commission Chair Donald Gladue said the Ever Ready unit will be pursued through proper channels, with support from Council President J. Floyd Huestis and others to address insurance rating and underwriter tests. Capt Arthur Manchester of Defiance backed purchasing trucks for both companies.
