Bristol honors Lt. Cowing with citation for Spar voyage

Governor Roberts presented a citation to Lt Charles V Cowing commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Spar and crew for circumnavigating North America in search of a usable Northwest Passage. The event highlighted the voyage’s historic firsts and contributions to deep water Arctic navigation. Bristol High School to stage The Babbling Brooks this week under Mrs Donovan.
