Scouts help with infantile paralysis tag days alongside Girl Scouts while the Drum Corps prepares radio broadcasts concerts and rallies during the period.
John L. Burke Bristol High School principal nominates seniors for the 1948 Rollins College Honor Scholarship contest. Eight $1000 awards available to January or June 1948 graduates. Examinations mailed Feb 1, due by Mar 15. Winners named in April. Scholarships start at Rollins in September.

The St Michael's Junior basketball team defeated the YMCA Juniors 37 to 35 in a Frank Merriwell finish at the parish house last Saturday morning. Vebee shot 16 for the losers while McCann led St Michael's with 13 points. A return game is set for tomorrow at 10 o'clock.
The Bristol Zoning Board of Review will meet at 7 PM on Thursday February 5 1948 in the Town Council Chambers Bristol Rhode Island to hear H C Wardwell owner and Weir P Williams lessee on a petition for a special exception under Section 19 Part B Subsection 8 to operate a polo field. The petition states the White Rail Polo Club renamed Bristol Polo Club wishes to run polo games as athletic events charge admission pay taxes and advertise accordingly with consent to zone change in Zone B.
