A seven member UNO inspection team led by Dr. Stoyan Gavrilovic plans a visit to Bristol tomorrow to evaluate sites for a future world capital. They will also inspect Pappasquash and Portsmouth, seeking temporary and permanent locations with reports to London.

Chief Warns Mutilated Plates Must Be Changed

Police Chief Anthony J. Ferrara orders a change plan for unreadable license plates. Until February 2 the change is voluntary at the State House. After that enforcement rests with police. a drive will ensure readable plates and temporary numbers until new registration blanks are mailed.

Burke New Principal Named at Bristol Senior High

John L. Burke was elected principal of Bristol Senior High School, remaining as acting principal since March 9, 1942. His salary is set at 3400 dollars. The meeting also discussed a 12 year salary schedule raise and a temporary math teacher appointment for Michael Securo.

Car Crash Leaves Four Injured on Wampanoag Trail

John F Lafazia 21 of 77 Oliver Street collided with Margaret Molero 40 of 27 Marbury Avenue Pawtucket Saturday night on the Wampanoag Trail East Providence. Mrs Molero and husband Jose 54 in poor condition at Rhode Island Hospital along with Olive Stedman 39 of Quincy Mass and Muriel Sylvia of Bristol were injured. Also in the Lafazia car were Rita Serbst and Vincent Rego who escaped serious injury. East Providence Police refused to release details.

Boxing And Wrestling Planned For Sports Night

St Elizabeths CVO hosts Sports Night Thursday in Independent Hall featuring McGinty the Great between bouts. Main event pits Martin Tabor of Boston light weight champion against William Bento of East Providence featherweight champion, both WWII veterans. A second bout pairs Anthony Andrade of Bristol with Gid Spence of East Providence, with six bouts and two wrestling matches. Guests dine with Rev. At a Thursday meeting Reba Rebekah Lodge observed the birthdays of Thomas Wiley founder of Odd Fellowship and its 71st birthday. Miss Annie Faulkner of East Providence, longtime member since October 17, 1888, was honored with a gift from Noble Grand Miss Mabel Dunbar.

Sailors Plead Guilty at Special Court Session

In a special morning session of the 5th District Court before Judge William T. O'Donnell three Melville sailors pleaded guilty to revelry. Each man was fined $10 and costs, paid the fines, and was released. Arrested about 1:30 on Hope Street, the defendants were Robert T. Hickey 22, David H. Cote 20, and Hubert M. Ward 24.

A Public Opinion Quarterly study charts labor leaders ages 46 on average, most rising from skilled labor roots. It shows AFL leaders older than CIO counterparts, with education rising from grade school to college and a majority coming from laboring families.
