Fishermen Saved After Hours Lost in Dense Bay Fog
At least 16 bay fishermen were trapped for hours as one of the thickest bay fogs covered Newport area waters. Boats including the Stormy Weather and Quito Shellfish buy boat were guided to safety by a Bristol Coast Guard tug. Last to report were Stephen Kordas of Barrington and Frank Whitmore of Warren. No injuries. most men described the night as a wasted, trying experience.
