Bristol Children’s Home Needs Laundry Facility Upgrade
Editorial urges Bristol residents to fund a basement laundry area at the Children’s Home, requiring about 80 dollars for a partition, flooring, and ventilation. The goal is to improve drying in bad weather and provide a possible play space for children. The Phoenix leads with 85 and seeks further contributions toward the remaining 75. The piece also notes Red Cross Christmas stamp sales in Bristol raising 200 for District Nursing and 100 for the Rhode Island Anti Tuberculosis Association, plus nurse Miss Enson’s December report and a 25 donation from a recent reading event.
