Iceland lecture by James M. Scott at First Church
An illustrated talk by James M. Scott of Providence on his 1907 Iceland trip attracted the Men's Club of the First Congregational Church for an hour and a half. He described Reykjavik, coastal towns, geysers, glaciers, ponies, and a life of fishing, farming, and hard tourism, noting scarce wood, limited crops, and housing conditions on the island.
