Portuguese Land Club appoints officers in Sunday ceremony
Members of the Portuguese Land Club elected Joseph Ferreira as president in a Sunday ceremony. Antonio Tavares and Lionel Morrissey served on the board of directors with Ot Master as Ceremonies master. Antonio Coite led the ceremony while the finance committee included Arthur Mello Joseph Martin and Albert Castro Sr. Joseph Castro was elected Band Leader with Joseph Carreiro Jr. as Assistant Band Leader and Joseph Martin Jr. as Band Manager. Manuel Castro Sr. is the janitor. Almeida led dinner arrangements with Louis Ferreira James Sousa Rene Joseph Martin and Rene assisting. Special guests included State Sen Anthony Daz Ponte Town Councilman Jerome M Donovan and Joseph Goulart.
