Colt Memorial High School Gift Deeded To Bristol Town
At Bristol School Committee meeting Col Samuel P Colt via representative offered the Colt Memorial High School and grounds as a free public school for the town. A deed dated Jan 4 1909 relieves the town of damages from land condemnation and reverts to Colt if the property ceases to be used as a school. The committee adopted resolutions urging town electors to accept the gift and authorized a town meeting call. Also notes on census enumerator and truancy officer appointments and bids for the enumerator post.
