Ninety Year Old Bristol Captain Reaches Nanogenarian
Capt. Albert C. Bennett a longtime Bristol ship master turns ninety on January 14. Born in Newport Rhode Island in 1814 he resided in Bristol most of his life and never let age dull his activity. He served as vessel commander and later held customs and revenue posts in Bristol and Warren. He is celebrated for voyages aboard ships including Apasia and War saw among others and remains a prominent local figure on Constitution street.
