Kearney Post Admits Second World War Veteran

Kearney Post No. 6 of the American Legion admitted two new members at a Friday meeting. William F. E. Sanford, recently honorably discharged for disability, and Henry Barton Jr, a former Shanghai China Post member who returned home recently. The post added Anthony Almeida to its roster, listed as killed in action in the Solomon Islands with the Marine Corps. Commander Cogge shall named an arrangements committee for the second annual Veterans Night with date to be announced.

Elementary P. T. A to Meet at Oliver School

The Bristol Elementary Parent Teacher Association will meet Thursday afternoon in the Oliver School. Open house runs from 2:30 to 3:30 before a business meeting presided by president Mrs James J Velleca. Rationing Board Grants Tire Permits and Boots

The War Price and Rationing Board No 1521 issued certificates for tires tubes and grades II to III retreads to defense workers and CHAFFERS.
