Bristol man dies after head injury in assault
John T Xavier aged 51 of Bristol died from a fractured skull after a blow by Oliver Moran 19, as police say his head struck the ground. Moran was charged with manslaughter and held on $4000 bail awaiting hearing. Moran and an associate drove Xavier to his home where he was pronounced dead Sunday night. Xavier, a longtime gardener for prominent Bristol families, leaves two sons and several siblings. Funeral mass set for St Elizabeth’s Church with burial at St Mary’s Cemetery.
