First Bristol Troop Scouts Celebrate Third Anniversary Banquet
The First Bristol Troop Boy Scouts marked its 3rd anniversary with a banquet at the Colonial Hotel. Scoutmaster George R. Fish was honored along with other leaders, promotions were awarded, and remarks praised Scouting’s role in Bristol. A birthday cake with 30 candles and a flag salute closed the event.

First PT Boat Launched At Herreshoff
The first PT boat to be launched at Herreshoff’s tank was christened today at one o clock. The vessel mirrors the small warcraft commanded by Commander Bulkeley in the Philippines and later used effectively in the South Pacific. Sponsor Mrs Arthur P Sherman attended, and guests included Corp Victor G Cabral and Pvt James J Perry returning to Bristol after four and a half months on Guadalcanal.
