Bristol taxpayers approved a 19 000 special appropriation at the Nov 16 town meeting including 10 000 for 1936 relief and 3500 for sewage plant and 3500 for engineering. Budget chair Frank Doran warns relief costs preclude tax rate cuts and notes state fee withdrawals leave towns with few tax options.
The Columban Squires will hold a special meeting tomorrow at the Knights of Columbus Home to plan attendance at an event. Grand Knight William T. Dwyer announced the annual banquet will occur the week after Easter, with a carnival planned for next summer and several officers coordinating the banquet.
