St Elizabeth Sexton Joao Geyer Dies in Providence

John Victorino Geyer known as Joao Aguiar and born 1867 in St George Azure Islands died after brief illness at St Joseph’s Hospital. He served as sexton of St Elizabeth’s Church ten years and earlier at Holy Rosary in Providence. Funeral Saturday 8:30 am from Easterbrooks Avenue home with 9 am mass. burial in St Mary’s Cemetery. He leaves wife Philomena and children Joseph Jr, Mrs Joseph Marshall, Mrs Adeline Marshall.

Bristol Man Dies From Warren Crash and Funeral Planned

Frank DeFelice 30 of 2 Chilton Street Bristol died at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries in a February 16 Warren crash. Manuel Fontes of East Providence faces added charges after DeFelice’s death. Fontes bail set at 2000 and to stand trial March 9. DeFelice’s funeral planned for Monday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with burial in St Mary’s Cemetery.
