Despite Sunday weather members of Kearney Post No 6 and its Auxiliary visited Newport Naval Hospital to entertain and refresh disabled veterans confined there. The trip by automobile featured readings by Mrs. Alice M. Coughlan and music by Billy Sutcliffe and his orchestra praised as the best ever. Delicacies under Mrs. Elizabeth Carr included homemade candy fruit jellies cigarettes and Washington's Birthday novelties for the veterans.
