Fire Destroys Haffenreffer Farm Buildings in Mt Hope
A major fire on Haffenreffer property in Mt Hope last Friday destroyed the cow barn granary silo creamery and cold storage, scorched hay and implements, but saved fifty cows and nearby cottages. Local fire crews battled flames until dawn with help from Warren, drained a well and pond source, and the wagon remained on scene into Saturday morning.
