Rhode Island Boy Scouts Swim Meet at Providence YMCA
The Rhode Island Boy Scouts announce a swimming meet at the Providence Young Men's Christian Association pool at 2 30 Saturday afternoon February 24. All state troops may enter with two classes Junior four years and under and Senior 15 16 or 17. Events include one and four length races breast stroke diving plunge relay and a cross class fastest swimmer. Chief Scout Donald North will award ribbons for first and second places.

Rear Admiral Edwards Homeward as Son Sails for France Ambulance Corps
Rear Admiral John R. Edwards returns from New York while his son John sails from New York on the French liner Espagne with about 30 college men to join the American Ambulance Corps in France. The ship carries 72 Americans, 60 assigned to Red Cross and ambulance work and travels under convoy toward Bordeaux, expected to arrive in about 12 days.

Mothers' Club Plans Talk on Beautiful Italy
The Bristol Mothers' Club will host Edward E Bohner Y M C A Providence industrial secretary who will present Beautiful Italy next Tuesday evening February 20. Colored stereopticon views will show Italian towns cathedrals and paintings while a string orchestra led by Mr Giglio and singer Miss Louise Malafronte perform. Organizers hope many Italian friends attend and Bohner enjoys a large audience.

Successful Whist at Cercle La Fayette
The Cercle La Fayette whist event in Artillery Hall drew full tables with forty positions. Prizes went to Ladies First Miss Laura Lemaire and Mrs. Charles Rainville, and Gentlemen First George Dion with Peter Ethier as runner up.
