Anthony J. Nunes announces Sanford and Sanford to lead next year’s bourse books for the Bristol Philatelic Society. Leonard P. Sanford will present a Lincoln memory talk with reference work and pictures from his collection for the Thursday meeting at 8 p.m. in the Congregational Church kitchen.
John J. McCarthy of Pope Georgia son of Mrs Mary McCarthy 328 Wood Street was installed February 2 as faithful navigator of Patrick Walsh Assembly No 677 Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Augusta with Nicholas T Stafford master of the DeSoto province Savannah.
The Bristol Junior Chamber of Commerce reports 11 members pledged to donate blood when the Red Cross Blood mobile arrives February 26. President Grant Hirons hopes to surpass the 21-donor record set last June. Harold Gifford Jr. chairs the blood committee. The Jaycees also promote a Valentine Dance at the White Rail Riding Club from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. open to all, with specialty dances and prizes. A Dime Dance will support the March of Dimes.
The Class of 1953 presents the musical comedy Annie Get Your Gun at Guiteras Auditorium in Bristol with direction by Mrs. M Teresa Donovan. Marie Maciel accompanies, James F Meiggs and son provide portraiting, Jane Hoar is prop mistress, and the cast includes Annie Dickley Louise Murray Frank fate ivin Edler and others.

Domenic C. Canhit of Beach Terrace is named to the sales staff of the Insurance Company of Newark Rhode Island area. He will operate from the Pro store Sears Bots and Co. office, one of the firm’s large auto insurance units. The company, founded years ago, ranks among the nation’s largest auto insurers. Bristol schools and Mapeseee University are among his educational ties.
