Dr Hankins a Bristol dentist and U S Air Force officer was struck by a car and dragged 15 feet while walking to breakfast at Far Eastern Logistics Air Base near Tokyo on January 19. He sustained back injuries and a sprained ankle. hands were chewed but not seriously hurt. He arrived in Japan recently after enlisting in November and served with the U S Navy in World War II.
