Bristol Lace Works tax exemption approved by Town Council

Twenty five years ago the Town Council unanimously granted a ten year tax exemption on machinery stock and any property Bristol Lace Works might purchase. The Budget Commission declined nominations from Republicans to remain out of politics. Vincent Saviano was filed to replace Antonio Guida on the Democratic school committee ticket. The School Committee sought a 124000 appropriation, down 700 from the prior year, with continued curtailed programs and a 15 percent salary cut. Mary Almeida wed Manuel Sousa Jr at St Elizabeths and Sadie Andrade married John DeLuca at the same church.
