Death of Joseph George after self-inflicted wound at sister's home
Joseph George the Syrian slashed his abdomen with a knife at his sister Mrs. Mary Jamial's State street home last Wednesday morning and died Friday afternoon at Rhode Island Hospital. The body was brought home yesterday and interred at St Marys Cemetery. He leaves a wife and four children in Syria, a son Charles George, a daughter Mary George, and a sister Mary Jamial, plus nephews and nieces in town.
