Bristol Scouts Celebrate 25th Anniversary Banquet

The Hotel Belvedere hosted a Bristol scouting banquet marking 25 years of local scouting. George R. Old Timers Invited to Reunion by First Bristol Troop

First Bristol Troop of Boy Scouts of America marks its 25th anniversary with a reunion at Reynolds School auditorium on Monday January 3 at 7 30 PM. The event features entertainment awards interviews with longtime scouts and officials and an inspection of the First Troop for a good appearance award. Oil Burner Ignites Fire at Bristol Home

Firefighters stopped a blaze at 198 High Street in Bristol caused by an oil burner overflow. Miss Lucy Burns alerted tenant Miss Helen Coggeshall who sounded the alarm. Slight damage resulted and chemicals aided extinguishment.

A card party for the Home Demonstration Club was held Wednesday evening at Mrs. William J. LeClair’s Hope Street home. About seven tables played with prizes won by Mrs. J. Mac Donald, Mrs. Joseph Partington, Mrs. James Connors, and Mrs. LeClair. Refreshments were served by the hostess and Mrs. George McClure and Mrs. Margaret Morris.
