A 44 mile per hour gale followed a five to six inch snow blanket paralyzed Bristol on Tuesday. Streets were passable by Wednesday thanks to state and town plows though motorists faced delays. one injury occurred when Eunice Manchester slipped on the icy road near Hope and Constitution streets.
