Boys From State Home Enjoy Christmas Party

A group of older boys from the State Home and School received a Christmas party hosted by Troop 5, Boy Scouts, at St. Michael's Parish House. John R Williams organized the event with a program featuring a play by St. Michael's Church School students Eleanor Perry Betty Greer Ella Gray John Price Paul Price Jack Mathewson and William Getchell directed by Mrs Williams. The evening included magic by Bobby Kinder and vocal solos by Vernon Gray followed by refreshments and a basketball game.

Richard B. DeWolf Dies in Army at Fort Bragg on Christmas Day

Pvt Richard Byron DeWolf 19 20 son of Mrs Philip DeWolf of 154 High Street died of pneumonia Christmas Day at Fort Bragg North Carolina He had served in the Army since July and was buried with full military honors in the Raleigh National Cemetery He was educated at Moses Brown Providence Brown University and Camp Croft amid his premature death.
