Christmas Party at Rubber Factory National India Rubber Co

More than 200 employees attended the annual Christmas party at the National India Rubber Company with the accounting department hosting the tree. A moment of silence honored late Production Superintendent George E. Shaw. The program featured vocal selections, monologue, carols, and the Anvil Chorus, with Santa Claus distributing gifts and a dance by the Newmerettes Orchestra.

Woman's Relief Corps Elects New President in Babbitt

Mrs Luella Ryone was elected president of Babbitt Woman's Relief Corps No 19 at a Friday night meeting to succeed ill president elect Mrs Minnie Card. Two candidates were initiated. A Christmas party followed with Miss Dorothy Mott as Santa Claus and a tree illuminated with gifts. Refreshments were provided by the executive committee.

An enjoyable Christmas party was held in the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company office on Thursday afternoon. More than 25 guests attended as Santa Claus, impersonated by Frederick Hagen of Quincy, Massachusetts, distributed gifts. Christmas carols were sung, refreshments served, and prizes awarded after bridge whist.

Two Auto Accidents Reported On City Roads

Two automobile crashes occurred within hours. Bernardo Falco of 126 Constitution Street in a sedan collided on the Main road at Colt farm entrance. the vehicle towed for repairs while the other coupe driven by Raymond Davis of Poppasauash sustained minor damage with no injuries. A separate crash on Bradford Street near the Pastime Theatre involved William Sequino of Warren driving a sedan eastbound into Arthur Jacksons parked car. both vehicles damaged but operable. Sequino said he swerved to avoid a pedestrian.

Fire Destroys Barn of Antone Perry at Metacom Avenue

The Christmas Basket Fund of Kearney Post reports fifty one dinners distributed Saturday, eleven more than last year and six more than planned. As needy families were added, more baskets were filled with help from a Callan Construction Company truck. Deputy Sheriff James F. Meiggs and Louis H. Gallo assisted the effort which lasted until early evening. Penal acknowledgements of contributions follow and thanks are given to all who supported the project.
