Editorial endorses Gulleral School site at Silver Creek
The School Committee’s choice of Perry property for the Elizabeth Wardwell Gulleral School is praised as wise given limited town sites. Objections about soil stability and location are weighed, with arguments that a strong foundation can address soil concerns and growth will bring the school nearer a populated area. The piece urges that the site will beautify the entrance to town and spur improvements such as road widening, park conversion of a quagmire, and a new bridge over Silver Creek.
