The resignation of Edward Burdette as general manager of Collins and Aikman apparel fabric division was announced with an effective date of January 17. Edward Johnston, recently hired as superintendent of Plant J, will take full charge of manufacturing operations. He formerly led Lorain Worsted Mills for 30 years and was general superintendent before leaving in 1953. he also spent two and a half years at Ameratron as plant manager. Robert W. McCullough will temporarily assume duties of general manager.
