Town Council Holds Brief Semi Monthly Session
The council met Tuesday evening for about an hour. Kearney Post No 6 American Legion was granted permission to hold Sunday Eve entertainments at the Pastime Theatre for the Post relief fund with several dates listed. A petition by Philip Glascom of Fall River to peddle fruit was laid on the table. A letter of appreciation from Cal C Wells commander of the 243d Coast Artillery thanked the council for the rifle teams trophy annual event proposal. The treasurer was authorized to hire 1000 dollars to cover expenses for the Defiance fire station.

The committee asks for contributions to Phoenix Office or the Bow Wall to ensure every town family enjoys a proper Christmas dinner.
