Mount Hope sewer and water project discussed at council
The Mt Hope sewer and water plan dominated the semi monthly Town Council meeting Tuesday evening with Sewer Commissioners Ezra Dixon and Edward Morrissey present. A Bristol Warren Water Works proposal read by President Charles H Manchester outlined a six inch water main to Mount Hope avenue with hydrants every 700 feet and a $5500 cap plus five year water contracts yielding at least $700 yearly, conditional on town backing for trench work and a one year trench care, with repayment up to $1300 and possible alternate trench placement to avoid rock. The council will study bids and a decision is expected soon.
