The Bristol School Committee announced the enlistment of Stannard B. Sylvia as Machine Shop instructor and the resignation of Joseph A. Murgo from Colt High School. Sylvia will join the Coast Guard and request a leave. Murgo will take a piping engineer post at Collins and Aikman.

18 Year Old Youths Register For Service
Registration of young men born July 1 to August 30, 1924 began at Bristol County Selective Service in Warren Post Office. It is the sixth registration and continues until Thursday. December 17. Those born September and October 1924 register December 18 to 24. November and December 1924 births register December 26 to 31. Those born on or after November 1, 1925 register when they turn 18. Headquarters hours are 9 am to 5 pm weekdays and 9 am to noon Saturdays.

Judge Sullivan to Speak at Bristol Honor Roll Ceremony
Hon Mortimer A. Sullivan a Superior Court justice will be the principal speaker at the unveiling of the Honor Roll of Bristolians in the armed forces. The 2 PM Sunday event in front of the Burnside Memorial Building features about 800 names plus two nurses and an introduction by Bertram Wall as master of ceremonies. Music by the Portuguese American Independent Band with Rev Parshley and Rev Griffin giving invocations and benediction.

Election of officers held at their Club room on Thames Street last evening.
