A&P Plans $1 500 000 Christmas Bonanza for Workers
John A Hartford president of the Great A&P Tea Company announced 1 500 000 will be shared at Christmas among employees earning under 5 200 yearly and with more than six months service. J J Byrnes says full time staff six months plus earning under 5 200 will get this gift with scale up to 25 a week and a full week’s pay for the lowest earners. The distribution aims to aid Christmas shopping and shows management thoughtfulness for the whole organization.
