Mrs Martha Wardwell widow of James D Wardwell died last Friday at her Bristol residence aged about 75 She was born in Bristol and lived here most of her life Survived by two sons James D Wardwell of Bristol and Charles L Wardwell of Providence and a daughter Elizabeth Wardwell Funeral services were held yesterday at her home conducted by Rev A W Kingsley with prayers scripture reading and hymn Asleep in Jesus The bearers were church members and pallbearers included George H Peck Thomas Pearse Robert Gregg and Daniel Cruickshack The remains buried at North cemetery Also noted was the death Sunday of Elizabeth Crowell aged 75 of John Street born in Bristol widow daughter of James Howland She died after illness from bronchitis found dead in her upper tenement Two Bristol obituaries and a local theater note followed with details of upcoming performances The benefitting charity is the Bristol Exchange for Women’s Work
