DARs 65th Birthday Continued Bristol Chapter History
The Bristol Daughters of the American Revolution commemorates 65 years with highlights from past leadership and projects. It notes the first state fall meeting in 1901, funds to Barry School and Hindman School, and ongoing support to Tamassee Hillside and Kate Duncan Smith. The chapter preserved the East Burial Ground, helped with the restoration dedication of the town, and celebrated members who held national and state offices. It honors Regent achievements and recalls Miss Maria Shepard’s 20th century reflection on patriotic duty and citizenship.
