Carmine J. Massano of Bristol was chosen as executive secretary by Congressman-elect Aime J. Forand in a move approved by civic leaders across party lines. Massano, a long time Bristol newspaperman, will begin after Christmas along with Jean E. Charon of Manville as assistant secretary.

Boy Scouts Appeal to Aid Needy Children with Toys

With two weeks till Christmas hundreds of local children rely on the Boy Scouts of America to provide toys. The Awashonks Herd scout honor society appeals for donations of new toys or funds to buy them. A toy collection and repair drive runs for ten days with a patrol contest offering embroidered sweater emblems to the winner.

Bassing Real Estate Sold to Mount Hope Realty

A deed transfer filed at the Town Clerk shows Jacob Bassing and wife Clara sold substantial real estate to Mount Hope Realty Company.
