Two births occurred at the local Post Office area over four days despite Postmaster Coggeshall’s warnings. James Thomas McGrath was born last Friday to Mr. and Mrs. James D. Mc Grath at Newport Hospital. Anne Elizabeth Byrnes arrived Saturday to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Byrnes Jr. at 58 Collins Street, their fourth child born at Providence Lying-In Hospital. Mrs. McGrath is the former Catherine Shea of Newport.
