Colonel Proulx Award Presented to 103d Artillery Battery
2nd Lt. John F. Jr. of Barrington receives the Colonel Proulx Award as top battalion unit commander from Joseph Proulx Jr. of Warren. Lt. Col. Harold N. Read presides at the Providence Armory ceremony. The award, named for Colonel Proulx, honors attendance, recruitment, training and inspections with a six year rotating plaque. Li Cuzzone received a smaller plaque naming Head Battery as best unit at annual summer field training.
