T Sgt Alfred E Sousa of Bristol Rhode Island is authorized to wear the Distinguished Unit Badge for his Twelfth Air Force B 25 Mitchell group part in destroying Benevento Italy marshalling yards. The unit citation credits extraordinary heroism and a decisive strike, with 18 enemy planes downed.
