Blood Donor Unit misses quota on Pearl Harbor day
On Pearl Harbor Day the Red Cross Mobile Blood Donor Unit in Bristol failed to reach its 225 pint quota, collecting 208 pints as 45 registered volunteers did not appear. A. A. Edmonds blamed weak volunteer turnout and noted 108 vacancies remained in the day’s schedule. The unit, touring all week, awaits unread cards from the Boston office while a long list of volunteers is acknowledged for potential future donations.
