Harold W. Baker is named pastor of the First Baptist Church in Bristol after accepting the call on a November church meeting. Baker, son of Rev F M Baker, has YMCA and educational leadership background and will relocate with his wife and four children. He previously studied at Newton Theological Seminary East Greenwich Academy Mount Hermon Bates College and served in business and missionary work in China and the United States. He pledges devoted service and asks for God’s guidance as the church moves forward in spreading the gospel.
