Advise On Multiples Base Branching For Shrub Support

Multiple base branching helps shrubs spread wide to suit ranch houses but increases ice and snow breakage risk. Use heavy cord or burlap to pull up and support limbs. remove when spring returns to resume spread. Install screw eyes and galvanized wire for weak crotches, triangle inside limbs, and proper tension. Prune evergreen material for decorations, keep ends in water to reduce drying, and consider wax emulsion to limit fire risk. Order holly and alder plants from nurseries. ensure both sexes if berries are needed.
