Marcangelo Ferri 68 a Bristol retiree died at Truesdale Hospital after being struck on Wood Street by a 1935 Dodge driven by Manuel Botelho Jr 17. Ferri who had been united with a foster son found in a Canadian camp last year leaves a wife four adopted children and siblings. Funeral plans pending burial in St Marys Cemetery.

Fire destroys interior of auto on Chestnut street
A sedan owned by Manuel E. Lewis 36 Bradford Street was gutted by fire on Chestnut Street near St Marys Cemetery shortly after 8 pm Sunday. The Ever Ready Engine and Hose Company responded to a still alarm. Lewis said he parked the car at about 6 30 pm when motor trouble began and he suspects a short circuit caused the blaze.
