Bungalow Fire Destroys Home at Highlands
Fire of undetermined origin destroyed a bungalow at Bristol Highlands early Thursday. Owned by Col Edwin S Godfrey, valued at 12000 dollars. Fire discovered by Motorcycle Officer Eudd J Demars at 230 am, four motorized teams fought flames but saving the building was impossible. Furniture owned by Mr and Mrs J William Sutcliffe, recently married, was destroyed along with many wedding gifts. Recal was not sounded until nearly 5 o'clock.

Perlex W. Lane, principal, announced that Colt Memorial High School led Yankee District Senior high schools on Tuesday, Oct 25 1927, with 100 percent deposits. Attendance at Colt was 164 with all pupils making deposits. Warren High School ranked second with 94.6 percent and 177 deposits from 187 pupils.
