Public hearing selects dredging area at East Passage grounds
After a November public hearing Director Francis N. Perry of the Dept. of Agriculture and Conservation designated the East Passage grounds for mechanical quahang dredging from December 1 through March 31. The area is bounded by Prudence Island lines near Homestead Dock and Mt. Hope Bridge to North Chimney in Middletown. Only a few dredgers are expected due to poor results last season.
