Bristol voters to decide on new school or double sessions
At a special town meeting in the Bristol high school auditorium at 7 30 pm on Monday taxpayers will choose between building a new 1000 pupil middle school or continuing double sessions in elementary schools. A $250 000 planning bond for blueprints and site studies is on the ballot with a building committee to follow if approved. The non partisan citizens committee has led the campaign, arguing overcrowding and teacher recruitment issues will improve with a new campus while officials warn of double session risks and accreditation problems.
