Explorer Leaves For Long New England Voyage
The motor vessel Explorer of Warren left at noon for an unprecedented trip around New England. Capt. Luther E. Blount will steer up the east coast to the St Lawrence River, across to Lake Champlain, through canals to the Hudson, ending in New York then Warren around Sept 18. The 62 foot steel ship, built by Blount Marine Corp, carries 12 passengers and includes Mrs Blount and two children among the crew.

Honor Roll Legibility Sought by Bristol Veterans Council
Bristol Veterans Council last night approved asking the honor roll committee to gather as much information as possible to improve legibility. The council also slated questionnaires for state senate and representative candidates to gauge support for continuing V Day as a holiday.
