British War Relief Society Ships More Funds for Britain
Robert R. Appleby, chairman, announced the society had cabled over 10000 to Great Britain for seamen canteens and children's clothing. Donations include 3820 for canteens in Grimsby Lerwick and Methil, 4000 for rubber boots, 2000 for children's boots, 980 for cigarettes and 180 for hard candy. Word has been received of the death last week of Mrs Laura Teller Ericsson wife of Lt Hampton M Ericsson U S Navy. Death followed pneumonia after a week's illness at her mother Maud Griffin's home in Rensenburg Long Island. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Dr Harry Teller and Mrs Griffin. She lived here with her parents for years. their residence was at High and Bradford streets.
