Poll Tax Notice for 1903 in Bristol Rhode Island

The Assessors of Taxes levy a $1 poll tax for 1903 on every registered person eligible to vote. Tax is due from September 1 to October 8, with Sundays and holidays excluded. Collector Geo H. Peck will collect daily 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm. the Town Clerk may receive payments. Bristol Rhode Island, August 3, 1903.

Town tax for 903 deadline notice 1908 collection

The undersigned Collector of Taxes announces readiness to receive the tax for the year 1908. Office hours in Burnside Memorial Building are daily in August and September, excluding Sundays and holidays, from 9 to 12 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m., and from September 21 to October 1 with additional evening hours from 7 to 9.

The Toot meets at Bristol Ferry with the Newport train at 3 p m. Fare is 25 cents.

Briston Institution For Savings Treasurers Notice 1903

The treasurer of every savings institution must, in July 1903 and every fifth year, file a sworn statement with the State Auditor. It must list each depositor who has not deposited or withdrawn for 20 years or more, or whose book has not shown accrued interest, including name and last residence or post office address, and, if known, death. The notice must be published weekly for six weeks in newspapers nearest the institution. The section does not apply to deposits made in the name of living, sound minded persons. Cc. H.
