Ninety four entries are in for the Yacht Club Regatta held Sept 6 as Coast Guard boats prepare for busy service in Bristol. The Warwick Country Club regatta set a Narra gansett Bay record with 72 boats. a new record is expected. George H Baldwin chairing the Floating Parade committee reports many organizations sending floats and cash prizes of 75, 50, and 25 for the top entries. Parade positions will be drawn by lot with notices to enter in writing for records. St Michael's Boys' Club Hikes to Mt Hope Bay Camp
Eight members of St Michael's Boys' Club along with Fred Brownell and Rev George H Toadvin Jr. hiked to Mt Hope Bay shores for a two day camp. They set a large tent for younger boys cooked their own meals and enjoyed baseball swimming and other activities. Capt John Kring's team won the watermelon hunt. A mashrhallow toast preceded a hunt for goonacks. Sleep was brief as Walter Metcalfe's bugle woke the camp at 4:30 am. Camp rules were strictly enforced and Rev Toadvin led services Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
